In order to speed up change, it is essential that more men and boys are involved as agents for change in gender equality issues

The agreed conclusions confirm the need for a stand- alone goal on gender equality and women’s empowerment in the set of international targets that will be introduced once the MDG’s expire in 2015.

The new Development Agenda should have a stand alone goal on gender equality and the rights of women and girls as well as a crosscutting gender equality perspective throughout the post 2015 Development Agenda.
